Planet gears take a lot of abuse in the gearbox, when rebuilding these should be checked thoroughly for ANY sign of wear, and if you've removed a worn diff pin, then it is pretty much assured that you will need to replace the planets. Two are used on the standard differential and Four on the x-pin
